Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) presents challenges for university students. The inclusions to new approaches related to technologies mark a potential to take advantage of this educational gap that ensures that the teaching-learning process is of quality. The objective is to know the impact of university perception on the learning and use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) at the Technological University of Southwest Guanajuato (UTSOE), Mexico. The research presents a quantitative descriptive and correlational approach, with a representative sample of 216 undergraduate students from different university careers. The survey was applied online using Microsoft Forms with 37 items, Likert scale type questions, with 95% data reliability and 5% estimation error. A statistic was formulated with a multiple linear regression where the findings showed a positive significant correlation with the variables University Perception and Learning in AI with values of .711; as well as AI Tools with .741 and Technology in AI of .695. The topic of AI is innovative in being present in the university students who are closer to the technologies emanating from today's schools, mainly with AI. Institutions in Mexico and other countries, for their part, will focus on redesigning curricular plans adapting them to the new educational programs.
