In 2014, the Revista UNIMAR was indexed before the Publindex National Bibliographic Index - IBN Publindex, in Category C., since the first update in 2014, according to compliance with scientific and editorial quality criteria, and according to stability profiles and internationally recognized visibility for scientific publications. This indexing period ended in 2017. Currently, the Editorial is strengthening alliances and creating strategies that allow it to be indexed again before the IBN Publindex, taking into account that Minciencias has restructured the evaluation criteria, expressed in the Call for Indexing of Specialized Colombian Scientific Journals - Publindex.

Regarding the version of the Revista UNIMAR, it is necessary to mention that it maintained its printed version until 2019; from 2020 it has its ISSN-L and maintains its digital version (e-ISSN).
