Objective: To perform a bibliometric analysis on scientific publications related to the study of explosive force in sports. Methods: Delimited search strategy in Scopus applied for the period 2003-2015. The records found were pre-processed and analyzed using VantagePoint software (Search Technology, academic version 9.0), in order to obtain activity indicators (frequency of publication by years, countries, institutions and authors), relation indicators (co-authorship among countries, institutions and authors) and research trends by means of the analysis of keywords included by the authors in each article. Results: 74 records found. Major publication frequencies by year detected from 2010 to 2015. On the other hand, 143 institutional affiliations were detected and, as regards the co-authorship relationship between institutions, the United States and Spain were the countries that published the largest number of studies with international collaboration. Finally, most of the registers related plyometric and anthropometry in joint sports.
