The impact of the university on artistic training and cultural management for the permanence and development of oral storytelling in the department of Nariño 2003-2022

The article deals with the importance of the university in the evolutionary process of oral narration in the department of Nariño. It is convenient to start by clarifying the concept of university taken in this text, as a mental space and not as a purely physical or structural space. The university is seen as a space that is regenerated over time from various types of
knowledge, which includes orality; this, in turn, is recognized in diversity, where thinking stands out, as the effort to live, an effort that is articulated to knowledge or art; in this case, that of oral narration, in whose beginnings different things were woven together, of different grammars or possible readings, which enter into barter or opposition, according to
the historical moment in which one lives.

Juan Pablo Rivera Revelo, Universidad Mariana
Magíster en Didáctica de la Lengua y Literatura Españolas, Universidad de Nariño. Licenciado en Filosofía y Letras, Universidad de Nariño. Docente investigador en áreas de la educación, el empoderamiento de sectores marginados y vulnerables, así como el desarrollo comunitario de comunidades afro e indígenas, tanto en sectores públicos como en privados. Docente y coordinador de un programa de etnoeducación en la costa pacífica colombiana; ha desarrollado estrategias en los procesos educativos y en la construcción del modelo etnoeducativo en la comunidad afro en el municipio de El Charco, Nariño; su labor docente se enfoca a fortalecer procesos sociales, educativos y culturales de la región en diferentes instituciones educativas, entre las que se destaca: Universidad Nacional a Distancia, Universidad de Nariño y Universidad Mariana. Creador y director de la Corporación Artística y Cultural Galeras cuenta, de la ciudad de Pasto. Fundador de espacios de narración oral en la Universidad de Nariño y, del espacio permanente de narración oral La Butaca azul, Universidad Mariana 2015-2022.
