Abstract

The article is based on the systematization that was carried out in the Family Welfare Institute in 2015 in the municipality of Bolívar, Cauca, of a case of connection to a support network of a minor of 13 years, who presented a situation of abandonment by their parents. The mother requested support from the Institute, arguing difficulties in her behavior, with disregard for norms and authority, street behavior, and risks of sexual abuse.
The interdisciplinary team received the case for its intervention, using techniques such as family and individual interviews, as well as the collateral, documentary analysis, direct observation, the genogram, the vulnerability profile, and the home visit.
After having carried out the psychosocial intervention actions, it is established that the minor does not have a support network of maternal and paternal lines; her parents did not express the will to exercise protection and did not have economic conditions that would guarantee her rights. Considering that, from the beginning of the Administrative process for the Restoration of Rights in favor of the adolescent, the ICBF exhausted all the actions, it was sought that the family took responsibility for the adolescent, complying with the appropriate intervention processes, but nobody was found within the families who took care of the minor, for which it was determined that the case should remain under the institute’s protection measure and continue with the process to define the measure of declaration of adoption.
