At present, the egg producing industries discard excessively large quantities of eggshell, resulting from the processes they carry out to generate products derived from this food, thus wasting the calcium carbonate (94%) present in this raw material, the which is still considered a waste. In this research, it was decided to establish a life cycle analysis using the SimaPro Software, in order to identify the different environmental impacts generated in the process of obtaining calcium hydroxide and, in this way, propose alternatives to mitigate these impacts, allowing improvement in terms of the environmental factor and the transformation of this raw material to obtain the final product.
