Female population and health
Abstract
Since the beginning of humanity, the risks to the life of the population have existed and have been associated with lifestyle and health habits, present in different stages of life. During the Paleolithic age, the ancestors spent most of their lives migrating from one place to another. Due to a physically demanding lifestyle, only the strongest and fittest survived childhood, while women, had a higher mortality than men due to complications during childbirth.
